Best Landing Spots

You've really got two main options when landing at The Shark. The first is to tackle it head-on by landing on the roof or at the main doors. This immediately gives you access to the best loot and the interior of the main building. However, this is going to be busy, so if you don't find a good weapon fast, you could be in a sticky situation. There are plenty of rooms and vents to escape through, so if you're willing to try your luck, this could prove fruitful.

Alternatively, you can land on the beach. This looks like a slightly quieter spot, which offers Slurp Barrels and a Respawn Van. Destroying the barrels will give you some shields before heading into the fight inside. You can also hang around in case anyone tries to revive their teammates, but that may take a while.

Loot Locations

As well as the Slurp Barrels on the beach, you can find quite a few chests inside the base on The Shark. However, the best loot in all in The Vault. Unlock this for the very best loot.

There is also a Supply Cache hidden in the building, but you'll need to be disguised as a Henchman and have obtained the correct key card (it should be at this location) to access this. Destroying the Supply Cache will destroy the loot - and the loot is usually very good, so avoid this at all costs.

Finding Cover

Cover is sparse at The Shark, especially when trying to escape. If you can't find a boat, swimming will leave you very open - a sitting duck to anyone at Lockie's Lighthouse or another shore. Inside, use the vents and Porta Potty to escape from dangerous situations, or keep building structures where possible.

Best Weapons

You'll want close-range weapons here, SMGs and shotguns are your best friends. Assault Rifles will work well on the beach, too, but generally stick to the closer-ranged stuff.

If you've landed on your own - or killed everybody else - reach for the new Suppressed Sniper Rifle to pick off people approaching or on other shorelines.

The Downsides

The Shark is an exciting new location with the potential for some great loot, but be careful. It's quite a long way from the centre, so keep an eye on the circle. Also, the little rooms and nooks and crannies offer plenty of opportunity for opponents to camp out or hide before surprising you with a Pump Shotgun blast to the head. Keep your wits about you and you'll run the supervillain lair in no time.
