Fortnite Bugha Late Game Tournament: Start date, how to participate, $100,000 cash prize and much more

When Bugha became the world champion of Fortnite, it was a moment never to forget. It was right before COVID and when Fortnite was arguably at its highest in the competition setting. His celebration after winning was incredible, and I still remember it like it was yesterday.

According to our previous report, Fortnite's Icon series will include Bugha, better late than never. Today is also the first day of a tournament commemorating Bugha's greatness and becoming an Icon. Here are our rules and other relevant information.

Bugha late-game arena starts today while the tournament begins in a week

This has been done before by Fortnite. For 1,500 V-Bucks, they have added a Thanos skin to their long line of Marvel collaboration skins (Iron Man, Loki, Thor, Dr. Doom, Daredevil, and Black Widow, among many others). They held a tournament called the Fortnite Thanos Cup before that. I see that they are now doing something similar for Bugha.

The streamer and gamer known as Bugha, known most notably for his participation in Fortnite, is Kyle Giersdorf. In 2019, he became famous after winning the Fortnite World Cup. Fortnite has included the 18-year-old as one of its youngest stars.

In the latest Fortnite 17.20 update, a new tournament has been announced. In addition to being a World Cup Solo Champion, Bugha is a content creator and a core part of the Fortnite community. Epic Games announced that they would finally acknowledge him by making him an icon and giving him a tournament.

There will be two variants of the Bugha bundle: a Bugha Elite Style and a World Champion Style. Players earning 1500 hype within the Bugha Late Game Arena will qualify for the Bugha Late Game Tournament.

Starting on July 28th, players will compete with others in their region for the ultimate prize of $100,000. There will be two rounds in the tournament, the rounds will last about two hours each, and there is a maximum of ten matches per round. Every elimination in round one adds three points, and every elimination in round two adds four points.

To quote Epic Games:

"Running from July 20 until July 28, Bugha's Late Game Arena puts players right in the middle of competitive Fortnite. With your Trio, you'll drop on the Island while the Storm's already closing in. We've collaborated with Bugha to curate nine starting inventories grouped into three team loadouts. Each Trio will be assigned one of these team loadouts at random. As you play Bugha's Late Game Arena, you'll be able to earn Hype that's unique to this mode. The players who earn at least 1500 Hype before Bugha's Late Game Tournament on July 28 will be eligible to participate in the tournament. In this version of Bugha's Late Game, qualified players will compete against others in their region for a share of $100,000!"

It's been a while since Epic Games offered a cash prize so large. So, join the competition as soon as you can to gain this $100,000 prize.
