Fortnite's New Bear Hug Emote Removed After "Compromising" Bug

A new Fortnite Emote called Bear Hug showed up in the in-game Item Shop recently in preparation for the upcoming Rift Tour.

The emote allowed two players to pull each other in for a huge hug.

Then, without warning, the Emote was pulled from the Item Shop and disabled in the game.

Turns out there was a rather embarrassing reason for this.

Bear Hug's NSFW Glitch

It turns out the Bear Hug Emote was removed due to a glitch that could occur that was rather inappropriate.

With so many eyes on Fortnite right now with the Ariana Grande performances coming, it is no wonder Epic quickly removed the Emote from the game.

Turns out that in certain situations the Bear Hug Emote would cause one of the participating players to crouch down before going in for the hug.

This led to an NSFW looking position between the two players performing the Emote.

This there is actually nothing graphic going on here, the glitch could certainly been seen the wrong way, and Epic was right to disable the Emote until they can figure out how to fix the issue.

Sorry, Rift Tour fans, there will be no hugging at the concert.

No worries, though.

There are still plenty of interactive Emotes out there for players to mess around with while they watch Ariana perform.
