Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin Is Epic Games Store’s Latest Exclusive on PC


Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin will launch exclusively on Epic Games Store next year. Following a significant update during Tokyo Game Show 2021, Square Enix announcing a release date, pre-order details and new demo for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Now, we've learnt more about the PC edition. As advised in a recent Twitter update and press release, Square Enix reconfirmed it'll launch on PC, but only via the Epic Games Store. Judging by how they've branded this, no Steam release is currently planned.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin Is Epic Games Store’s Latest Exclusive on PC

It's unclear how long that'll last for but basing this off Epic's previous exclusivity deals, 6-12 months seems a likely bet. That also backs up reports that Final Fantasy VII Remake's rumoured PC port is another Epic Games Store exclusive, which leaked alongside Alan Wake Remastered.

As a reminder, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin launches for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC on March 18th, 2021. If you buy the game on PS4 or Xbox One, you can later upgrade to the next-gen version on both consoles for free.
