Square Enix announced the Final Fantasy 7 The First Soldier release date in a new trailer featuring the battle royale's opinion movie. Final Fantasy 7 The First Soldier will release November 17, and pre-registration is open now.

FF7 The First Soldier is a free-to-play title for iOS and Android, though there's no word yet whether we can expect to see The First Soldier on PC despite demand for it existing. However, it does support gamepad use, so you won't be limited to touch screen controls or an on-screen controller.

Final Fantasy 7 The First Soldier Releases Soon

Final Fantasy 7 The First Soldier is a battle royale that mixes classic Final Fantasy elements such as magic with guns and eliminating other players until one player or team remains. Players can choose from various classes with unique skills to compliment their style, such as giving a monk a gun.

The First Soldier takes place before the events of Final Fantasy 7, but how much lore it provides is still unclear. If you're looking for more Final Fantasy goodness, Ever Crisis, the mobile retelling of the Final Fantasy 7 saga, is set for release sometime in 2022.
