Since 2014, an annual collaboration event between Final Fantasy XIV and Dragon quest was held in the beloved MMO, called Breaking Brick Mountains. This collaboration event brings several special FATEs into the game, rewarding players with themed items, and will return in next October. FFXIV Breaking Brick Mountains 2021 - Event Details
From October 19, 2021 to November 11, 2021, you will be able to play this event, a collaboration between the three Square Enix MMO games, Final Fantasy XI, Final Fantasy XIV, and Dragon Quest X. The event itself has no requirements other than having access to the different areas where the FATES will happen.
The event quest is started by speaking with Havak Alvak of the Mythril Eye in Ul'dah, Steps of Nald (X:12 Y:8). After starting the quest, you will need to participate in the FATE "Brick by Brick", followed by the FATE "Brick by Stone Brick" or "Brick by Gold Brick", in order to obtain a chunk of brickman. These FATES can occur in the following locations:
- Central Thanalan, Sil'dih Excavation Site (18.0, 23.5)
- Lower La Noscea, Blind Iron Mines (27.0, 17.3)
- Upper La Noscea, Camp Bronze Lake (34.1, 24.1)
- Central Shroud, Bentbranch Meadows (23.6, 23.9)
- North Shroud, Finders' Bluff (15.8, 31.0)

Completing the event will reward you with the following items:
- 1120 Gil
- Wind-up Brickman Minion
- Thug's Mug Hat
You will also be able to purchase the wobbly "King Slime Crown" hat from the Toughie NPC in Ul'dah, Steps of Nald.
