Final Fantasy VII Remake was one of the gaming highlights of 2020, giving us a fully realized version of the classic PlayStation JRPG with fun combat and great visuals, funky-looking doors aside.
While only getting most of the game’s beginning was a bit disappointing, the expanded world-building elements, awesome boss fights, and surprisingly great writing has made us fall in love with Final Fantasy VII all over again, with Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade looking to increase that love tenfold.
How to Beat Shiva In Final Fantasy 7 Remake
Those awesome boss fights in Final Fantasy VII Remake include taking on those classic summon monsters via Chadley, one of whom is the ice queen herself Shiva.
She’s far from the most difficult boss fight in Final Fantasy VII Remake and if you’ve enjoyed mastering the battle system, this should be a piece of cake.
While it’s possible to do this boss fight with Cloud, you can always do this fight later on with Aerith or even other party members depending on when players start this fight.
Make sure Cloud and Aerith have Fire Materia since Cloud is the character you’ll use the most while Aerith has a lot of MP to spam those spells.
Build up Aerith’s ATB bar so she can cast Fira multiple times, decreasing Shiva’s stagger bar a ton and making her more vulnerable to your stronger attacks.
If you have Ifrit as a summon, he’ll definitely do a ton of damage to Shiva, especially if she’s staggered.
Steer clear of her ice attacks and dodge as much as possible since they’ll do a ton of damage if you get hit.
Make sure Cloud goes on healing duty with items and spells since Aerith is going to be busy hitting Shiva with Fira a number of times.
Final Fantasy VII Remake is now available on PS4 with Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade coming to PS5 later this week on June 10.
