But who will feature in this years edition of the fan favourite promotion? Here is who we are expecting to see included.

The Argentine picked up his seventh Ballon d'Or award last month, becoming the only player to reach such a figure. His inclusion is guaranteed, it's just his rating that is up for deliberation.

The Bayern Munich forward picked up the inaugural Striker of the Year award at the Ballon d'Or ceremony, although many though the Polish star was unfortunate to miss out on the main award itself.

The Egyptian has been arguably the best player on the planet over the last six months, and with little competition on the right hand side of the forward line, it'd be a real surprise if Salah wasn't included.

The Portuguese international has reinvented the role of the modern day fullback, and could see some incredible attacking statistics on his Team of the Year card.

Completing the side will be Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies, who should occupy the left-back role in the Team of the Year XI.

The Canadian played a key role in Bayern Munich's Bundesliga triumph last season, and has enjoyed a fine start to the 2021/22 campaign as the German powerhouse look to make a deep run in the UEFA Champions League.
