FIFA 22 Ratings Prediction: Top 10

It's official, the FIFA 22 Beta will begin today!

Those lucky enough to get their hands on a code have been contacted by EA, with the beta going live on Thursday, August 12th.

The launch of the beta means that we will soon know more about the ratings within FIFA 22, including who will take that coveted number one spot.

Here are our predictions.

1. Lionel Messi (93 OVR)

The unthinkable has happened, Lionel Messi has left Barcelona.

Arguably the greatest player to ever take to a football pitch, many had expected Messi to retire at the Camp Nou but due to the financial difficulties at the club, the Argentine has been forced to move on.

Messi will ply his trade in Paris next season, signing a lucrative two year contract with the Ligue 1 favourites, and after another stellar year with Barcelona, we expect that move to be consolidated with yet another year at the top of the FIFA rankings.

2. Robert Lewandowski (92 OVR)

Robert Lewandowski is like a fine wine, he gets better with age!

The 32-year-old striker enjoyed yet another record-breaking year with Bayern Munich, scoring a Bundesliga record 41 goals in the 2020/21 campaign.

We expect to see his rating rise again this year, with a jump from a 91 to a 92 enough to see the Bayern man claim second place in the FIFA stakes.

3. Cristiano Ronaldo (92 OVR)

Joining Lewandowski at a 92 OVR will be Juventus (Piemonte Calcio) forward, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Juventus suffered a disappointing season last time out, finishing a lowly fourth in their quest for yet another UCL title, though Ronaldo finished top of the scoring charts in Italy, netting 29 goals.

We can't see his rating going up this year, though we don't expect it to drop either. A 92 OVR seems fair for the Portuguese forward.

4. Kevin De Bruyne (92 OVR)

The final player who we expect to come in at a 92 OVR is Manchester City midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne.

The Belgian enjoyed a typically impressive campaign last season, helping his side to a third Premier League title in four years.

KDB was the star man for the Citizens en route to a first ever UCL final and whilst there was no glory on the night, we still expect to see his rating creep up a little more to a 92 OVR.

5. Neymar Jr (91 OVR)

Neymar will be back alongside Lionel Messi next season, as the Parisians begin their quest for a long awaited UCL title.

But despite an impressive off season, the Parisians were out of sorts in their previous campaign, conceding their Ligue 1 title to Lille and suffering European elimination at the UCL semi-final stage.

Neymar didn't have a bad campaign, but it would be a suprise to see his 91 OVR go up any further just yet.

6. Jan Oblak (91 OVR)

Jan Oblak is expected to be the best goalkeeper in FIFA for a second consecutive year.

The Slovenian stopper was a crucial element in Atletico's shock LaLiga triumph last season, and as a result he should remain at a 91 OVR.

7. Kylian Mbappe (90 OVR)

Another member of the 90 club this season will be Kylian Mbappe.

Despite a disappoinitng European Championship campaign, Mbappe was one of the hottest strikers on the planet last season, and as a result should see his rating remain in the 90's.

His role as FIFA 22 cover star should help his cause too.

8. Karim Benzema (90 OVR)

From one French striker to another now, as Karim Benzema looks to move back up the rankings.

The 33-year-old forward enjoyed one of his finest seasons in a Real Madrid shirt to date, resulting in a recall to the French national side ahead of Euro 2020.

A return to the '90s is on the cards for Benzema, and rightly so!

9. Harry Kane (90 OVR)

Where Harry Kane will be playing his football by the time FIFA 22 is launched remains to be seen, but one thing that is for sure, he's warranted an upgrade!

The Spurs forward netted 33 goals in all competitions last season and continued that form into the Euro's where he led his country all the way to the final.

It would be a big shock if he didn't jump up a rating or two in FIFA 22.

10. Virgil Van Dijk (90 OVR)

Liverpool's main man spent the majority of the previous campaign on the sidelines due to injury, but he's back fit and raring to go.

There will be no upgrades to the Dutchman's ratings due to a lack of playing time, but we do still expect him to be the top-rated centre back in FIFA 22 upon release.

A 90 OVR seems fair.
