FIFA 22 Ratings: LaLiga Predictions

share to other networks share to twitter share to facebook

LaLiga will remain one of the top five divisions within FIFA 22... but only just!

Barcelona's rebuild will begin, having lost Lionel Messi to Paris Saint Germain, whilst Real Madrid lack the Galactico fever that has so often made them a fan favourite.

With Messi no longer a LaLiga player, the door is open for a new number one, but who will cease the opportunity?

1. Jan Oblak (91 OVR)

The number one ranked LaLiga player ought to be Atletico Madrid stopper, Jan Oblak.

The Slovenian was the top rated goalkeeper in FIFA 21, and, after helping his side to an unlikely LaLiga crown last season, is expected to be so once again.

2. Marc Andre Ter Stegen (90 OVR)

Another goalkeeper that should feature towards the top end of the LaLiga list for the upcoming release is Barcelona's Marc Andre Ter Stegen.

Ter Stegen impressed for the Camp Nou side during 2021, whilst we aren't expecting any upgrades for the German, he should retain his 90 OVR from FIFA 21.

3. Thibaut Courtois (90 OVR)

Goalkeepers look set to dominate the LaLiga standings in FIFA 22, with Real Madrid's Thibaut Courtois in line for an upgrade.

The Belgian saw his rating drop slightly after an underwhelming start to life at the Bernabeau. He should see his OVR jump back into the 90's this year.

4. Karim Benezema (90 OVR)

Speaking of Real Madrid players in line for an upgrade, step forward Karim Benzema.

The Frenchman rolled back the years with a stunning campaign for Los Blancos, one which should see the veteran forward upgraded to a 90 OVR.

5. Casemiro (88 OVR)

Real Madrid's Casemiro was the top-rated CDM in FIFA 21, but we don't see the Brazilian retaining that title in FIFA 22.

The powerhouse midfielder is likely to see a slight downgrade this year, we're expecting an 88 OVR.

6. Luis Suarez (88 OVR)

Casemiro may see his rating downgraded in FIFA 22, but Luis Suarez certainly won't.

The Uruguayan forward was the star man for Atletico Madrid in their title triumph, and as a result, should see his 87 rating upgraded ahead of FIFA 22.

7. Luka Modric (88 OVR)

Luka Modric saw his rating downgraded ahead of FIFA 21, but it should be back on the up in time for FIFA 22.

Despite entering the twilight of his playing career, the Croatian is still mixing it with the best central midfielders in the league. An 88 OVR seems fair in FIFA 22.

8. Antoine Griezmann (87 OVR)

Antoine Griezmann will be back at the Wanda Metropolitano this season, after completing a Deadline Day move from Barcelona to Atletico Madrid.

We were expecting to see a slight downgrade for the Frenchman, who failed to live up to his expectations during his time at the Nou Camp, but EA may opt to keep him at an 87 OVR following his move.

9. Memphis Depay (87 OVR)

There will be no Lionel Messi to lead the Barcelona line this year, but in Memphis Depay, Barcelona have quite the replacement.

The Dutch forward has transferred his Ligue 1 form to the LaLiga, impressing during his short time at the club so far. An upgrade is on the cards for the CF.

10. Sergio Aguero (87 OVR)

Sergio Aguero's Barcelona career has got off to a disappointing start, with the Argentine out for 10 weeks with a hamstring injury.

We're expecting goals from Aguero upon his return, though we imagine his FIFA rating will drop after a quiet final season at Manchester City.
