When it comes to being a video game about football, FIFA 21 has given fans plenty of entertainment, thanks to its updated roster and smooth controls.
Granted, the game has received criticism for mostly being an enhancement of FIFA 20 but most people would agree that it's one of the better football simulations out there.
FIFA 21: How To Move The Goalkeeper
Players mostly enjoy controlling the athletes on the field, though many are trying to get used to playing as a goalkeeper.
FIFA 21 players don’t always enjoy playing as a goalkeeper since that usually boils down to waiting for balls to kick, which can be fun, but, for the most part, isn’t as immersive as being on the field.
Still, for those that want to give these underrated athletes a shot, here’s how to move and do other actions as a goalkeeper in FIFA 21.
You switch to the goalkeeper by pressing the touchpad on PS4 or the view button on Xbox One.
Moving the goalkeeper in FIFA 21 is a bit awkward since you have to use the right analog stick, which is usually reserved for moving the camera in video games.
Press the right analog stick if you want the goalkeeper to cover the farpost, which can feel great when you actually manage to block the ball with that.
Having to use the goalkeeper can be frustrating at times, especially if you just want to kick the ball and get the big win for your team, but for achieving victory, controlling them every once in a while is crucial.
Once you get over the initial awkwardness of using the right analog stick, everything should be fine.
FIFA 21 is available now on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
