Gfinity Elite Series Delivered by Domino's: FIFA 19 Week 5 Results

After the Gfinity Elite Series had a Draft Week Special (Week 4) which saw some of esports top prospects take the center stage, the normal season resumed this Friday!

It's time to check all of the final FIFA 19 results of Week 5

Method vs Dream Team Gaming

With the groups starting to take shape, and only Envy with a guaranteed spot in the playoffs, there was all to play for in Group A. Fully and Bullock impressed for Dream Team in the Xbox leg with a hards fought victory over Riptorek and Venny but hopes of a more secure group standing were dashed as Tom and Zelonius failed to defeat the same Method duo. 3 points a piece leave Method in 2nd but watching nervously from the sidelines in their bye week. Dream Team will have to fight hard to remain in contention!

exceL vs Team Vitality

The other Group A match saw a “relegation fight” between the defensive kings, exceL, and a troubled looking Vitality side. Repeated let down, bizarrely, by their keeper: Peter Schmeichel. Things were looking rough for the Frenchmen in game 1 but Maestro and Rafsou found their footing in spectacular fashion on the PS4 leg. Forcing exceL to concede more goals in 1 game than in the entire season so far combined. Another 3 points a piece.

Man City Epsilon vs Hashtag United

The night’s Group B action kicked off with, arguably, the marquee event of the night as crowd favourites Hashtag attempted to put a stop to Epsilon / Manchester City’s unbeaten record. The sky blues showed no signs of slowing down in game 1, Mence and Connor running rings around their opposition. Game 2 looked to be a closer affair as Hashtag Dreamr and Ethan pulled ahead of their opponents in the PS4 leg. However the lead was short-lived, as Man City Epsilon imposed their dominance once again. Final points: 4 to Man City, 1 to Hashtag.

AS Roma Fnatic vs Nordavind

Roma Fnatic’s defending champ Zimme and star signing Damie turned up when needed to put 2 hard earned W’s on both Xbox and PS4, after a slightly shaky start to the season. A disappointing result for Nordavind, the only side to look scary against Man City. Final points 6 to Fnatic, 0 to Nordavind.

Next Friday will be the last chance for some teams to qualify for the FIFA 19 playoffs, and you can expect an action packed event!
