October Player of the Month Update
With the Premier League back in action this weekend, it’s time to get an update on October Player of the Month. Currently, there’s no clear front runner for the award, with only three players having more than 2 goal contributions over the 2 October gameweeks.
Wesley - Aston Villa - 2 Goals & 1 Assist
Despite not contributing to either of Aston Villa’s goals at the weekend, Wesley still stays up at the top of the October POTM rankings for his 2 Goals and 1 Assist away at Norwich.
Jack Grealish - Aston Villa - 2 Goals & 1 Assist
With 1 Goal and 1 Assist in Villa’s 2-1 home win to Brighton, adding to his 1 goal at Norwich, Grealish is also up there for the October Player of the Month award currently, making it a two horse Aston Villa forward race at the top.
Raul Jiménez - Wolves - 1 Goal & 2 Assists
After scoring a penalty in Wolves’ 1-1 draw at home to Southampton at the weekend, Jiménez is up there with 3 goal contributions this month, after his brace in the all important 2-0 away win at Man City.
Adama Traoré - Wolves - 2 Goals
Despite not netting any goal contributions in the previous gameweek, Adama is still up there for his 2 goals in the important 2-0 away win against Manchester City.
Marcos Alonso - Chelsea - 1 Goal & 1 Assist
Marcos Alonso netted a goal and kept a clean sheet at the weekend in Chelsea’s 1-0 win at home to Newcastle. With a good defensive and goal scoring record, there’s no reason why Alonso shouldn’t be in the running for the award.
James Milner - Liverpool - 1 Goal & 1 Assist
No goal contributions for Milner this week, he still stays in the running though with a goal and an assist in Liverpool’s 2-1 win over Leicester at the start of the month.

Marquee Matchups Week 6 Prediction
Another successful week of Marquee Matchups predicting, in which we predicted 3 out of the 4 fixtures included. This week looks to be a little harder, with not as money top tier games to choose from.
Roma - Milan
Nothing really major about this game, other than the fact that it’s two top clubs going against each other. Only 3 points separate the two teams, so it’s an important fixture.
Ajax - Feyenoord
De Klassieker. The main footballing rivalry in the Netherlands. I can’t see this one being ignored, always a favourite for Marquee Matchups inclusions.
Beşiktaş JK - Galatasaray
The Istanbul Derby is a massive game in Turkey, and one of the biggest rivalries in the league. Definitely a fixture I can expect to be getting included.
Swansea City - Cardiff City
Regarded as one of the fiercest rivalries in the Football League, the South Wales derby definitely has to be a potential inclusion for Marquee Matchups this week!
