FIFA 20 Ultimate Team: Team of the Week 5 Investing And Trading Tips and Tricks for FUT 20

share to other networks share to twitter share to facebook

A decent looking Team of the Week 5 has been released into FIFA 20 Ultimate Team, meaning a tonne of profit potential from investing in these cards. The simple idea when investing in these cards, is that they get far rarer when their week of being in packs ends, due to no further supply, meaning that cards in demand from the TOTW rise well, making great investment opportunities.

Not a bad TOTW compared to the previous week. You can view TOTW in full here.

My Top Picks for Team of the Week 5 Investing

Out of the 23 man squad, similar to last week, there are 7 key players I’d be looking at in Team of the Week 5 to look at getting as an investment, these being Lewandowski, Kane, Keylor Navas, Wijnaldum, Gündoğan, Digne and Acuña.

Robert Lewandowski - 90 OVR

PS4 Buy Price: 200,000

Xbox Buy Price: 200,000

PC Buy Price: 250,000

There’s no doubt that Lewandowski is one of the best pure finishers in FIFA 20. Being very similar to his 90 Player of the Month card, this 90 In-Form is somewhat limited in price. Once his POTM SBC expires, I’d expect some nice rises in this card, being the best ST in the Bundesliga, with great links to meta Bayern cards.

Harry Kane - 90 OVR

PS4 Buy Price: 120,000

Xbox Buy Price: 130,000

PC Buy Price: 125,000

Kane is a similar one to Lewandowski, in that he’s a pure finisher. Unfortunately he lacks a little pace, and with only 3* Skill Moves, he does lack that flair that some look for in a ST. However, I’d definitely be looking at this card, the closer he comes to 100k, a 90 rated Premier League ST with 92 Shooting won’t go unnoticed.

Keylor Navas - 88 OVR

PS4 Buy Price: 37,500

Xbox Buy Price: 40,000

PC Buy Price: 40,000

While Keylor Navas might not be the best GK in the game, he’s the best GK in Ligue 1 by a long shot. With good PSG CBs available this year, he’d be easy to link into a good side, plus being 88 rated, he may be useful for some higher end SBCs as the year goes on.

Georginio Wijnaldum - 86 OVR

PS4 Buy Price: 160,000

Xbox Buy Price: 160,000

PC Buy Price: 190,000

Gini Wijnaldum is arguably the top pick from this TOTW, being an incredibly meta card for this year. Being potentially the best box-to-box central midfielder in the Premier League this year, and with a perfect link to the best central defender in the game, Virgil Van Dijk, there’s no doubt that the Dutchman will be a very popular choice for teams going forward.

Ilkay Gündoğan - 86 OVR

PS4 Buy Price: 37,500

Xbox Buy Price: 50,000

PC Buy Price: 40,000

While not the most meta CM this year, Gündoğan still looks to be an okay option. With very nice passing and dribbling stats, he does fit some criteria for a top midfielder this year. Unfortunately, with only 68 Pace and 73 Physical, he does lack the presence in midfield to make him a top tier option.

Lucas Digne - 85 OVR

PS4 Buy Price: 55,000

Xbox Buy Price: 60,000

PC Buy Price: 60,000

Digne does look like a very nice option for a Premier League LB option, with a lot of key stats over 80. Being French definitely helps for linking top players, however, with Roussillon, Ferland Mendy and IF Theo Hernandez as other French LB options, Digne may be overlooked purely due to the lower pace.

Marcos Acuña - 84 OVR

PS4 Buy Price: 14,000

Xbox Buy Price: 15,000

PC Buy Price: 15,000

I can’t deny, I love the look of Acuña from this TOTW. My best pull in reds, he looks like an incredible super sub option, having the 2nd highest total in-game stats for any non-icon card. Furthermore, he’s a very cheap option for SBCs, being an 84 IF with a good nationality and league to link for SBCs. For me, this makes Acuña a top tier investment this week.

Other Cards to Club Stock from TOTW 5

These cards don’t look to be the best possible investments this week in my opinion, however they might be a good idea to pick up over the weekend for cheap, and just store in the club until a later date. Over time, they’ll rise from becoming rarer, and with the right SBC, could rise up heavily in value!

Some General TOTW Investing Advice

When investing, there are some general points to remember and consider to ensure that you not only maximise profits and efficiency, but also reduce the chances of incurring any losses on cards you buy.

  • The buy prices discussed in this guide and article are taken from the market as of 2-4pm on Thursday 17th October.
  • The market is ever changing, meaning cards could dramatically exceed or fall below the buy prices mentioned.
  • To make the best investments at the best prices, remember to monitor the market as much as you can, taking note of price fluctuations daily.
  • The big rises with these cards will only start to come once they get slightly rarer once out of packs, or if they become in demand for an SBC, so you may have to be patient.
  • Always sell when happy with the profit on your investments, taking into account 5% tax.
