FIFA 20: New Skill Moves Tutorial With Tips And Tricks To Perform Them In FIFA 20 Ultimate Team


FIFA 20 has come with a number of new features and changes (such as free-kicks) that you should be aware of before playing Ultimate Team, Pro Clubs or Career Mode - something all players should be aware of is skill moves.

One of the most recognised skillers in the FIFA community is Kazooie94, he's been creating FIFA content around skill moves for almost 10 years, and has created a number of skill move tutorials to help you learn to bring these new moves into your game.

Lateral Heel To Heel

Skill Move Requirement: 3*

This is a great skill move to change direction and in-front of goal, it's very similar to the heel chop and it's fantastic to use because it doesn't require a skillful player to execute.

How To Perform This

Xbox One: Hold LB + Flick RS left, then right (or right, then left to go the other way).

PlayStation 4: Hold L1 + Flick RS left, then right (or right, then left to go the other way).

Flair Roulette

Skill Move Requirement: 4*

This is a new variation of the roulette and is a much tighter version of the 3* skill move, it makes it much quicker and closer to the body making it much more effective.

How To Perform This

Xbox One: Hold LB + pull the right stick backwards and rotate 180 degrees left (or right to go the opposite direction).

PlayStation 4: Hold L1 + pull the right stick backwards and rotate 180 degrees left (or right to go the opposite direction).

Setup Touch

Skill Move Requirement: 1*

This isn't necessarily a skill move, but gives you a better chance of scoring or positioning yourself.

How To Perform This

Xbox One: Hold LB + hold RS in any direction (this will push the ball in the desired direction).

PlayStation 4: Hold L1 + hold RS in any direction (this will push the ball in the desired direction).

Feint And Exit

Skill Move Requirement: 3*

This skill move is very similar to the body feint but gives you a nice exit and can be great for throwing off opponents.

How To Perform This

Xbox One: Hold LB + push the RS to the left and rotate 180 degrees counter-clockwise to the right (or to the right and rotate 180 degrees clockwise to go in the opposite direction).

PlayStation 4: Hold L1 + push the RS to the left and rotate 180 degrees counter-clockwise to the right (or to the right and rotate 180 degrees clockwise to go in the opposite direction).

Drag Back Sombrero Flick

Skill Move Requirement: 5*

This is effectively two moves in one, a drag back followed by a sombrero flick and is exclusive to the most elite skillers.

How To Perform This

Xbox One: Hold RB + Flick LS back, then the RS in (R3).

PlayStation 4: Hold R1 + Flick LS back, then the RS in (R3).

Drag To Drag

Skill Move Requirement: 4*

This like a variation of the la croqueta and the drag back but the controls are very different as it's effectively a fake shot.

How To Perform This

Xbox One: Hold LT, then hold X followed by A (or hold B followed by A) and release the left stick while doing this.

PlayStation 4: Hold L2, then hold square followed by X (or hold O followed by X) and release the left stick while doing this.

Heel Chop Turn

Skill Move Requirement: 4*

This is a variation of an old skill move, the heel chop, as it also involves a turn and exit. The heel chop has now changed and players with 3* skill moves can now perform a standard heel chop.

How To Perform This

Xbox One: Hold LT, then hold X followed by A (or hold B followed by A) and push the left stick in the direction you want to exit.

PlayStation 4: Hold L2, then hold square followed by X (or hold O followed by X) and push the left stick in the direction you want to exit.

Fancy Shots & Passes

Skill Move Requirement: 1*

This is a nice variety of ways to pass the ball which can be great for quick flowing moves and allow you to perform passes that standard ones may not connect.

New Back Heel

Xbox One: Hold LT + A + drag the LS away from the way your player is facing.

PlayStation 4: Hold L2 + X + drag the LS away from the way your player is facing.

Knee Pass

Xbox One: Hold LT + A or X + LS the way your player is facing.

PlayStation 4: Hold L2 + X or Square + LS the way your player is facing.

Fancy Lob 90 Degrees Outside Foot

Xbox One: Hold LT + X + LS either left or right (depending on which way you want it to go).

PlayStation 4: Hold L2 + Square + LS either left or right (depending on which way you want it to go).

Back Pass

Xbox One: Hold LT + A or X + drag the LS away from the way your player is facing.

PlayStation 4: Hold L2 + X or Square + drag the LS away from the way your player is facing.

Fancy Volley Medium (Flair Trait)

Xbox One: Hold LT + A or X + drag the LS away from the way your player is facing.

PlayStation 4: Hold L2 + X or Square + drag the LS away from the way your player is facing.

Fancy Volley High (Flair Trait)

Xbox One: Hold LT + A or X + drag the LS away from the way your player is facing.

PlayStation 4: Hold L2 + X or Square + drag the LS away from the way your player is facing.

Outside Foot Pass

Xbox One: Hold LT + A or X + drag the LS the way your player is facing.

PlayStation 4: Hold L2 + X or Square + drag the LS the way your player is facing.

Rainbow Pass Forward (Flair Trait)

Xbox One: Hold LT + X + drag the LS the way your player is facing.

Strafe Dribbling

Skill Move Requirement: 1*

This is extremely effective and everyone can do it, it's a great way to get the most of your ball work without needing to know much about skills.

How To Perform This

Xbox One: Hold LB + LS in any direction (bare in mind this works best going backwards).

PlayStation 4: Hold L1 + LS in any direction (bare in mind this works best going backwards).
