We’re getting a new look at Far Cry 6 thanks to French animation studio Unit Image, including a glimpse at Giancarlo Esposito’s character Anton Castillo and some of the gorgeous world Ubisoft is creating.

The video shows several stages of animation, from the initial motion capture, or mocap, to intermediary models, and then a few tantalizing glimpses at the final product.

Far Cry 6 Animation Teaser Highlights Sharp Contrast in Castillo's Paradise

There’s a lengthier segment where a rebel lights a molotov cocktail and advances on law enforcement with it, before the scene pans out to show a ruined and beleaguered city.

It’s not hard to see why.

The Castillo regime promises paradise, but at the expense of the freedom and even lives of those who oppose his rule.

The stark contrast between Castillo’s life of cigar smoking and luxurious palaces and his people’s struggle for survival couldn’t be more plain.

Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait quite a while longer to find out how Castillo’s reign of terror unfolds, though we hope the upcoming Ubisoft Forward might have at least a new trailer in store.
