We're now four weeks into the Fantasy Premier League season and things are heating up.
Gameweek 4 really showed how unpredictable this year is going to be and you can't underestimate anyone.
Now we're heading into week 5, after the international break and there are some tough fixtures ahead.

The deadline for Gameweek 5 in the 2020/21 Fantasy Premier League is Saturday 17th October 11am BST.

Here is the full list of fixtures for the opening gameweek of the Premier League:

- Man City vs Arsenal (17:30 BST - 17/10)
- Newcastle vs Man United (20:00 BST - 17/10)

- Spurs vs West Ham (16:30 BST - 18/10)
- Leicester vs Aston Villa (19:15 BST - 18/10)
- West Brom vs Burnley (17:30 BST - 19/10)
- Leeds vs Wolves (20:00 - 19/10)
Gameweek 5 Fixture Difficulty
With Gameweek 5 kicking off this Saturday lunchtime, there are a number of tough to call fixtures ahead.
If you haven't invested in your wildcard yet, I would advise waiting until after Gameweek 5 as the fixtures this week look very tough and it could be a big turning point for a number of teams.
Using a fixture difficulty tracker, we can see how difficult a team's fixture list is. Ideally, you should be working at a minimum of one game week ahead, ideally two.
Let's take a look at the top 5 teams going into the next three gameweeks.
- Wolves: Leeds (A), Newcastle (H), Crystal Palace (H)
- Crystal Palace: Brighton (H), Fulham (A), Wolves (A)
- Spurs: West Ham (A), Burnley (A), Brighton (H)
- West Brom: Burnley (H), Brighton (A), Fulham (A)
- Brighton: Crystal Palace (A), West Brom (H), Spurs (A)
Having a look at the upcoming fixtures, those with the better fixtures are hardly the most appetising teams.
The standout team is obviously Spurs, who have three comfortable fixtures on paper; not to mention they face West Brom the week after Brighton.
It makes sense to jump on their star players Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane who are leading the FPL in points. While their defence still doesn't look reliable, they are bound to get a clean sheet in the next four weeks, so adding a Tottenham defender may not be the worst idea.
Other than that, the best selections appear to be Andros Townsend, Wilfried Zaha, Raul Jimenez, Neal Maupay and a few others.
Who To Pick In FPL Gameweek 5?
With a number of tough games, let's highlight our top picks for week 5.
Jack Grealish (7.1 million)
The Englishman has really stamped his mark as a top Premier League player and Villa have surprised many fans with their strong start to the season.
Having recorded 9 points from a possible 9, they look like a real outfit and have put their near relegation memories of last season behind them.
The Villa talisman is no doubt going to continue to thrive this year and will be at the heart of almost every attack they create.
Not to mention that his involvement in the international break will have him buzzing with confidence.

Jamie Vardy (10.6 million)
The Englishman has got off to a great start this season but fired a serious blank in the last gameweek.
With Vardy being retired from international duties, he will be raring to go and no doubt looking to score some more goals from open play.
Harry Kane (10.6 million)
Kane will be relatively fresh after the international break after not really participating in England's matches.
He's been on fire recently in the league and that is only going to continue as long as he stays fit and Spurs keep playing great football.
Andros Townsend (6.1 million)
For just over 6 million, Townsend has bagged 3.6% of players 24 points.
Despite not being involved in the goals in Palace's last fixture, he has Brighton (H), Fulham (A) and Wolves (A) to correct that.
Kurt Zouma (5.0 million)
Despite Chelsea's defensive woes in recent times, as well as their inconsistent selections, Kurt Zouma has found a home at the heart of the Blues defence.
From clutch tackles to towering headers, the Frenchman seems to have finally found a place at Chelsea after so many loan spells.
I expect another strong performance from Chelsea and I can see them bagging a clean sheet.

Who Else?
While I don't want to highlight the same players every week, there are some that you should already have in your squad and will likely provide good options this coming week.
If none of the above players take your fancy, why not try these:
- Mohammed Salah (12.2 million)
- James Rodriguez (7.6 million)
- Calvert-Lewin (7.4 million)
- Tammy Abraham (7.3 million)
- Heung-Min Son (9.0 million)
- Marcus Rashford (9.5 million)
- Oliver McBurnie (5.8 million)
- Chris Wood (6.5 million)
- Patrick Bamford (5.8 million)
- Raul Jimenez (8.6 million)
Who To Avoid In Gameweek 5?
Bruno Fernandes (10.5 million)
I wasn't sure whether to drop Bruno into the pick or avoid section, but I'm going to say avoid him.
Despite his great away record and Man United's ability to get penalties, they do have some nightmare fixtures coming up including Chelsea, Arsenal and Everton.
BRU-NO: The upcoming fixtures are going to be TOUGH for United

Liam Cooper (4.4 million)
Liam Cooper suffered a small injury on international duty, while it's not something to be too concerned about just yet, I wouldn't advise picking him up in case he's benched.
Aaron Cresswell (5.0 million)
Aaron has been on a bit of a roll lately with back-to-back clean sheets and two assists against Leicester, but I think West Ham will struggle against Spurs.
I don't see them keeping a clean sheet and I think he will be contained for most of the game.
Jordan Pickford (5.0 million)
Like many, I'm not convinced by Pickford for club or country. He's managed to hold on to both spots for some time now but there's no hiding his ability to throw a match away.
Everton have been solid to start off the campaign, but it's going to be tough to keep the firepower of Liverpool at bay for an entire 90 minutes.
Hector Bellerin (5.0 million)
Bellerin has had a quiet start to the season, but bagged two assists in the last game.
While City haven't looked great in defence, I can't see Arsenal keeping a clean sheet away from home.
Who To Captain In Gameweek 5?
There are some tough fixtures and it's hard to pick out many candidates.
