Fall Guys The Whirlygig: How To Win, Whirlygig Shortcut, Strategy Guide, Tips And Tricks And Everything You Need To Know

Fall Guys has cemented its place in video game history and you may want to get some extra crowns under your belt.

Season 2 is coming soon, bringing plenty of new stages, so it's important you master the old ones.

The Whirlygig can be a frustrating stage with triumphant highs and catastrophic lows.

If you employ the right timing and strategy, you should be able to cruise through

Here's our guide to The Whirlygig.

What Is The Whirlygig?

The Whirlygig is a race stage and pits you against all other players in the lobby.

Every bean starts at one end of the stage and must make it to the other end, but there are a series of obstacles in the way.

These obstacles are designed to trip you up and slow you down.

Your mission is to avoid these obstacles and make it to the finish.

Whirlygig Shortcut

The Whirlygig shortcut can take you from last place to first if you can execute it.

Normally, your timing needs to be perfect, but there is a trick you can do to save you the hassle.

As you approach the top of the ramp, you want to jump and dive to the ground.

The propellers have just enough room to allow your bean to awkwardly slip under them without being batted off to the side.

Strategy, Tips And Tricks

Go With The Flow

We recommend going with the direction of the spinning bars, this is due to the fact that if you miss your jump it will often shove you forward into the path of the next one until you exit the area altogether.

Occasionally, it can propel you all the way through without having to do anything.

Players also naturally go against the spin, meaning it will be less crowded.

Blue Ledge

There are actually three ways to get up the blue ledge.

The first one is obvious: jump on to the yellow box and then hop on to the blue box. We recommend doing this if the box isn't crowded and you can get on to it as you are exiting the ramp.

If you fail to get on the box or they are too crowded, you can simply climb up the ledge. Approach the blue ledge, jump and hold R2/Shift and you bean will climb.

Finally, if you can time it well enough. Use the ramp escalator's moment to fling you up on to the blue ledge. You can make it up by jumping and diving as you exit the ramp, it's a high risk-high reward strategy.

Propeller #1

The first big propeller is just about timing and not trying to force it.

Hover around the purple line and wait for one of the blades to be just before the left post of the opening.

That's when you should start your run-up.

Mini-Propellers

This section is also very straight forward to manoeuvre. Simply aim for where the two propellers meet and you should be able to adjust your position accordingly.

If you can get the propellers to look like a plus sign once you hit the purple line, you should be able to make it through the second propeller with ease.

Propeller #2

Propeller #2 is very similar to the first, you want to time it in a very similar fashion.

Wait until the blade arrives just before the ramp and then make your way up the left side of the escalator.

Final Stage

In the final stage, you can take one of two approaches - if you head for the centre you can get a bit advantage, but it could go sour. Or you can opt to go for the safer approach and go round.

To get through the shortcut, normally, your timing needs to be perfect, but there is a trick you can do to save you the hassle.

As you approach the top of the ramp, you want to jump and dive to the ground.

The propellers have just enough room to allow your bean to awkwardly slip under them without being batted off to the side.

If you're struggling to do the shortcut and want to take the safe approach, go to the left as players who attempt the shortcut will be swatted away to the right.
