What is the Evil Dead DLC roadmap shaping up to look like? The asymmetrical multiplayer game is out now, and eager players are already looking forward to new content arriving in the game. That's why we're here to break down what future DLC we already know about, as well as how you can get it.
In this Evil Dead guide, we'll provide an updated list of DLC announcements, detailing what expansions are set to arrive and when. That's on top of some speculation as to what the new content will actually be, likely tied to the upcoming Evil Dead sequel arriving later this year.
In the meantime, we've got some Evil Dead multiplayer tips to help you win more matches, which isn't always easy. We've also got a guide to crossplay so you can dive in with friends on other platforms, as well as tips on how to fix pre-order DLC not appearing.
Evil Dead DLC Roadmap
So far, we know that there are four Evil Dead DLC expansions on the way, on top of a new map. Details are sadly quite slim in this period immediately following the game's launch, aside from that the new map is an adaption of Castle Kandar from the third film, Army of Darkness. Aside from that, we'll have to wait and see what the other expansions will involve.
What Will Evil Dead DLC Consist Of?
As of right now, it's hard to say what Evil Dead DLC will actually be. The only confirmed expansion we have so far is the aforementioned Castle Kandar map. Therefore, it wouldn't be a surprise to see even more maps arriving down the line, adding to the two existing sandboxes in the base game.
However, the more likely scenario is that Evil Dead DLC will introduce a lot more characters to the game. There are a healthy amount of survivors in the game, but there's certainly scope to add more from other movies.
There are notably no survivors based on characters from the 2013 Evil Dead reboot, so don't be surprised if characters like Mia Allen show up. On top of that, a new movie called Evil Dead Rise is due out later in 2022, so an expansion with characters and a map from that is almost certain.
How Much Will Evil Dead DLC Cost?
Sadly, DLC for the Evil Dead game won't be free. You can currently purchase the Season Pass, which entitles you to four upcoming expansion packs. That'll cost £24.99, a discounted price compared to purchasing them all separately.
If you want to get a DLC pack individually, it's a bit more expensive. The only one currently available is the Classics bundle, which costs £7.99. Expect the upcoming four expansions to cost the same amount.
Luckily, the Army of Darkness map based on Castle Kandar will be free. That has been confirmed on the game's Twitter account, so there will at least be something for players who don't want to spend money on top of buying the base game. However, it does suggest that more free DLC could arrive down the line, so we'll have to keep our fingers crossed.
That's it for our Evil Dead DLC roadmap! Be sure to check back often, as we'll update this hub as soon as we learn more about upcoming expansions to the game. In the meantime, feel free to check out whether Evil Dead will be coming to Game Pass any time soon.
