Why Is Dr Disrespect Not In The Toronto Ultra Warzone Tournament?

Warzone's Season 2 update is less than a week old and we've already seen a huge tournament taking place.

Toronto Ultra's $100k Warzone Tournament is a premier tournament with some of the biggest Warzone streamers on the planet.

The tournament will see trios battle it out for a share of $100,000 in prize money, but one big star is missing.

Dr Disrespect is one of the notable absences in the CDL franchise's competition.

But why is the Doc unable to participate?

Dr Disrespect Not Allowed To Compete In Warzone Tournament

ZLaner confirmed Dr Disrespect wasn't allowed to compete in the $100,000 tournament.

The two-day tournament, which started today, has 36 teams participating without the two-time champion.

ZLaner has shared his insights, attributing his ineligibility to his ban on Twitch.

“I’ve got some bad news, unfortunately,” he said. “I’m still going to be playing in the Toronto Ultra tournament, but Doc is unfortunately not going to be. He’s not allowed to play.”

“I’m assuming it has to do with his Twitch ban. I messaged Doc right away, and I was like, ‘bro, is there any magic you can pull or anything you can do?’ and he said, ‘unfortunately not. It’s weird that they’re not letting me play in this thing.”

“As soon as we can play another tournament together, we’re going to get one together soon. But that’s just weird and petty, and I don’t understand why he’s not allowed to play in this tournament. I think it has to do with his Twitch ban and some complications in there. But anyway, it is what it is.”

Dr Disrespect was banned from the biggest streaming platform in the world back in June 2020 and no-one is any wiser as to why he was actually banned.

Having battled against anxiety since that moment, the Doc has returned and is on the rise again streaming on YouTube.

Unfortunately, not only can he no longer play with his friends while they’re streaming on Twitch, but he also can't compete in tournaments streamed on the platform.

Fans have been disappointed with this news, unsurprisingly they've been sharing their thoughts on the matter.

Some of the highlights include: “sh*t bag move”, “pathetic” and one fan vowing to never watch a Twitch stream again.
