Valorant: Riot Suspends Sinatraa Following Sexual Abuse Allegations

Valorant pro-player Jay 'Sinatraa' Won has been suspended from the Valorant Champions Tour following accusations of sexual abuse from his ex-girlfriend.

An investigation has been launched into accusations from Sinatraa's ex-girlfriend, known as "cle0h" on Twitter, who revealed in a March 9th statement that she "lived in constant fear" throughout their relationship.

The statement reveals instances of emotional and sexual abuse through screenshots, with an audio recording also included.

Won himself has now responded with a short statement of his own.

"It is clear from Cleo’s recent post that she recalls our relationship differently than I do," Won says.

"What we do agree on is that it was unhealthy for the both of us. I apologize to Cleo and regret how things ended, but I never assaulted her in any way. I am fully cooperating with the investigations and providing the full audio and video clips Cleo referenced in her post."

While Riot has suspended Won, his team, Sentinels have also suspended him indefinitely and is conducting its own investigation.

Riot's Valorant Champions Tour Twitter account posted a statement from Alex Francois, Global Head of Competitive Operations for Valorant at Riot Games.

"We are aware of the current situation regarding Jay Won (Sinatraa) and have launched an investigation," the statement reads.

"Per our existing competitive rules and investigative process, a decision has been made to suspend Won throughout the investigation and therefore he will not be able to compete this weekend."

Sentinels' statement reads similarly:

"We are aware of the current situation regarding Jay “Sinatraa” Won and have launched an investigation internally. While the investigation is pending, he is suspended from the team."

"We will provide a further update once the investigation has concluded."
