What Can Fans Expect From This Year’s UFA?

Last year’s Ultimate Fighting Arena saw a breakout performance from the UAE’s Amjad “Angrybird” Alshalabi, who took the SFV championship against NVD | Momi with Zeku in a jaw-dropping turn of events. With Zeku making two more appearances at EVO 2019, it looks like the Bushinryu specialist is continuing to make a splash a year later - and with AngryBird himself in 12th place in the CPT’s Global Rankings, he could very well turn the tides of battle, yet again.

Goichi “Go1” Kishida likewise made waves at UFA 2018, taking a Dragon Ball for himself against America’s HookGangGod. With Go1 on a tear once more (having taken five out of seven events on the DBFZ World Tour), UFA 2019 could mark yet another jewel in his crown - and another stellar performance from 18-year-old “WaWa,” a French native who has already taken two Dragon Ball FighterZ events this year.

With just a week remaining until UFA weekend arrives, fans and competitors alike are waiting with bated breath for the upcoming competition. Who do you hope comes out on top? Only time will tell, and it’s quickly counting down to Paris’ premier fighting game tournament of the season!
