PS5 Does Not Support VRR According To Reviews

Both Xbox Series X and PS5 are launching this month, and that means anticipation has reached a fever pitch.

This is the week that gamers all over the world have been waiting for, and we cannot wait to get our hands on the console.

If you are looking for a complete review of the PS5, check out ours here.

While the console has been reviewed by countless outlets now, it appears some are noticing a missing feature.

VRR or Variable Refresh Rate is one of the most intriguing features of next-generation gaming.

As the feature allows for your display to match the refresh rate of the game you are playing!

This hinders games from suffering from screen tearing or drastic FPS drops and is best suited for games that are not able to consistently lock at 60 FPS.

Although this is a feature that many were looking forward to when the console releases it appears it will not be supported.

 The Truth

The PS5's lack of support for VRR was noted by Digital Foundry in their comprehensive review posted last week.

You can check that out here for better reference.

While the console right now does not support VRR, there are plenty of other features that the console does support.

With 4K 120 FPS being one of them, it does seem a bit strange VRR hasn't been implemented.

However, we can assume this will be a feature added later down the line.

As well, expect a full game showcasing with VRR at the forefront somewhere down the line!
