OpTic Dallas Logo Surfaces Ahead of Envy Merger

Amid rumours of a merger between longtime Call of Duty esports rivals OpTic Gaming and Team Envy, a logo seemingly confirming the deal has been unveiled thanks to a number of trademarks filed by Envy Gaming. The deal, first reported by Dot Esports, was uncovered in late August and since then, the rumour mill has ceased to turn until now.

The trademarks were filed on October 21st and included the likely name of the Dallas Call of Duty League (CDL) franchise alongside the logo, bringing the Dallas Empire to an end.

OpTic Dallas Logo Leaked

The trademarked logo is a hybrid between the OpTic logo synonymous with Call of Duty and the lone star of Texas to symbolise the organisation's new home.

While nothing has been confirmed between the two parties, the rumoured OpTic Dallas roster is expected to consist of former OpTic Chicago players Seth "Scump" Abner and Brandon "Dashy" Otell along with ex-Dallas Empire members Anthony "Shotzzy" Cuevas-Castro and Indervir "iLLeY" Dhaliwal.

With Envy and OpTic forming an unlikely alliance, the Chicago franchise spot is now up for grabs, with rumours pointing to Washington Esports Ventures, owners of the Washington Justice Overwatch League franchise acquiring the position.

When Will OpTic Dallas Be Revealed?

As more signs point towards the imminent launch of OpTic Dallas, many fans of the Green Wall will be curious as to when an official announcement will be taking place.
