Cyberpunk 2077 is here and you may be getting your next-generation consoles and need to transfer your saves.
Thankfully this generation is backwards compatible, so we’re able to help you out!
Here’s our guide on how to transfer save files from your PS4 to your PS5.
How to Transfer Save Files From PS4 To PS5
Transferring your saves shouldn’t be too tricky, as long as you know what you are doing!
So we’re here to break it down with your options.
One of the simpler options is transferring your saves through the cloud.
Firstly make sure you’re logged into your PSN account on both your PS4 and PS5.
With that setup, make sure you’re connected to the internet on both consoles and your PS4 should start uploading your save to the cloud, and your PS5 will download it!
If you’re on PS4, you’ll have to pay for PSPlus for cloud saves, but it’s worth the investment for online play and free monthly games too!
Though if you don’t have an internet connection it’s no biggie, here’s another option!
USB Storage Device
You can also transfer your saves using a physical USB storage device!
Simply plug the device into your PS4, format it if needed then move the save files to it.
To do this you should be able to choose where you save data is stored for games (either internally or on this external device) using data management settings for each game!
With that done, plug the USB device into your PS5 and you should be sorted!
This way, you can avoid buying PS Plus if you want.

Now you can pick off your favourite games wherever you left off!
