Halo 5 Will Have A 9GB Launch Day Update


With Halo 5: Guardians set for release in less than a weeks’ time, more information has emerged regarding the amount of space fans will need in order to install and play the game.

Studio Head for Halo 5: Guardians, Josh Holmes, revealed that Halo 5 will receive a 9GB launch day multiplayer patch, including map content.

However, gamers who purchase the digital copy of the game will be able to pre-load the update from the 22nd of October.

So how much space will your Xbox One need to play Halo 5: Guardians? Currently, Halo 5 is set to take up a substantial 55GB of your Xbox One’s hard drive when fully installed.

In addition to this news, the Halo Waypoint blog also announced the information surrounding the Halo 5 clan system which is called Spartan Companies. Users are able to create their own “company” and enlist their friends or join an active Spartan Company. You will also receive a free REQ Pack guaranteed to contain a customization item if your Company contains four or more Spartans.

If you choose to create your own Spartan Company, you’ll be able to customize your Company look with emblems, banners, colours, and more.
