There were plenty of goals, fast paced games and epic saves in week 3 of Rocket League in the Gfinity Elite Series Delivered by Domino's!
Let's review all the final results and see which teams were able to come out on top!
Method vs Renault Vitality
In our first matchup, season 3 champions Vitality took on Season 2 champions Rix Ronday and Borito B along with Kassio in the form of Method. Method were able beat the champions in a convincing 3-1 series. A great performance from Kassio once again, and his unbeaten record makes him a great addition to the classic Rix Ronday and Borrito B duo.
Envy vs ExceL
exceL had a lot to prove after the 3-0 sweep they suffered at the hands of Method in their previous match. It was a hotly contested series and the score stood at 2 games apiece, when Envy showed what they are made of and took the win. Can anything stop Team Envy after the miracle they performed in week 2? Only time will tell.
ASUS ROG Army vs FNATIC
New-commers ASUS ROG Army took on Fnatic next for matchup 3. On the Fnatic squad, Mummisnow and Snaski stepped up to Maestro’s level to form an unbeatable trio. Fnatic systematically decimated Army’s defence, only conceding a single game and taking the series 3 games to 1.
Nordavind vs Epsilon
To conclude Week 3, it was a battle of the bottom of Group B between Nordavind and Epsilon Esports. Bilbo may be new to the Elite Series, but that didn’t stop him from making some incredible saves and scoring vital goals for Epsilon. It wasn’t enough however, as Nordavind’s long clears and boost stealing strategies paid off. A 3-1 victory gave Nordavind their first points on the board.
