Eternals introduced a plethora of characters, some of which suffer dire fates by the end of the movie. While a few figures are expected to return, it seems like an unlikely being may be coming back.

Emmy Kennard shared a video on TikTok (via Cosmic Circus) and possibly spoiled the return of one of the Eternals. Kennard shared a reel with the caption: "When your brother is a stunt double and his next job is a character coming back into the MCU."

Eternals Leak Hints at Ikaris’ Surprising Return

The connection had come about as Kennard is brother to stuntman, Joe Kennard. He worked in Eternals as the personal stuntman to Richard Madden, who plays Ikaris in Chloe Zhao’s movie.

Given that Kennard has had no other MCU credits previously and there are none forthcoming in upcoming projects, it’s speculated Ikaris might make a comeback.

Sersi and Ikaris are about to kiss.

The Eternal was last seen in the movie’s climax, charging into the Sun to avoid the Sentinel’s wrath for betraying them. A direct reference to the Greek God with the same name, the being was eventually burned into a crisp barbecue.

Eternals’ writer, Kaz Firpo, even confirmed that Madden’s character is in fact, dead (via CBR):

What is the melting point of an Eternal? How long does it take to literally melt an Eternal robot? So really, that act is basically saying, 'I made a mistake, but I can't face my family, and I can't go on living.
All of the Eternals are standing near a ledge.

So how is Ikaris alive? It may be a misdirect by the filmmakers; something MCU fans are well aware of following the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Or the character’s future appearance could be through a flashback.

On the other hand, Joe Kennard may have been hired for another Marvel project that is completely disconnected from Madden. This is all speculation, so we’ll have to wait and see what the future holds for Ikaris and the rest of the Eternals.
