Asmongold is one of many streamers who are tired of being a public figure. In his most recent communication with his Twitch chat, he revealed how draining it is to be exposed continually and deal with word twisting. It's not uncommon for a public figure to deal with fame-related issues, but sometimes, it can be overwhelming.
Pokimane recently expressed her concerns about streaming and her feeling of burnout. Asmongold appears to specifically blame the streaming community and all the issues that come with streaming in front of viewers. The difference is that streamers have to deal with their critics every day.

There are always going to be people who hate that someone else is getting attention. Kevin Smith put it best, the trolls want people to "Take it from them and give it to me," but they don't want to put the work in. It must be awful to deal with it every day. To quote Asmongold:
"That's the thing, I like having fun, I like playing things up, I like doing that stuff. Honestly if I can't do that, if I can't have fun, and I have to constantly like watch what I say because people are going to take it and use it against me--I just don't want to stream anymore. And that's really the truth, there's a big part of me that just wants to quit."
According to Asmongold, if nothing changes, he will quit. He doesn't want to deal with it anymore, and he doesn't have to deal with it anymore, so he will choose not to.
