The upcoming enhanced console next-gen update for The Elder Scrolls Online was announced to be released on June 8 alongside update 30, which features their new expansion, Blackwood.
With the new expansion, Blackwood releasing on June 8th the team at Bethesda have decided just two weeks out to delay their next-gen update to give both their "undivided attention".
The new date for the Console Enhanced will be the 15th of June, just 1 week after the release of Blackwood for PS4, Xbox One, and backwards compatibility.
"In an abundance of caution, we are moving the ESO: Console Enhanced launch out a week. We are doing this so we are not launching Update 30 (Blackwood) at the same time as Console Enhanced and can give both our undivided attention."
"The new date for ESO: Console Enhanced on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 is now Tuesday, June 15. Blackwood and Update 30 will launch as planned on PC/Mac/Stadia on June 1 and Xbox One and PlayStation 4 systems (and backwards compatibility mode on current-gen consoles) on June 8."
The Elder Scrolls Online Console Enhanced Delayed
While this may be a disapointment for some, it is important that the launch of the new expansion goes well, and implementing two big updates at the same time could cause some issues that the team have potentially identified already.
Blackwood releases on PC June 1st for PC/MAC/Stadia and June 8 for Console.
