Dying Light 2 is an action role-playing game from Techland and it's the long-awaited sequel to Dying Light. In the game, you are thrown into The City, one of the last remaining human settlements in a world where a deadly virus rules. You play as Aiden, a Pilgrim who enters the settlement to achieve his own goals. However, he gets unwillingly dragged into the chaos of life within the walled settlement.
As you spend more time in The City, you will acquire new tools that will assist you in your effort to survive. However, as your time in Villedor gets progressively harder, you'll naturally want to upgrade these tools to meet new challenges. Each tool has its own upgrade requirements and some of the more important ones require Military Tech.
In this guide, we're going to show you how to find Military Tech, and we explain a bit more about what it's used for.
How to Find Military Tech
Military Tech can be found within any Military Drop crates across Villedor. The easiest way to locate the drops is to stand on top of a tall building and scan the surrounding area with your Binoculars. Typically, there is at least one Military Drop within each section of the map.
Once you have located one, you will then need to find a way to get up to it. If you hover over the Military Drop Zone icon in your map, it should tell you how much stamina you ideally need to get up there. After you have found your way to the crate (usually at the top of a tall building), all you need to do is open it. There will be other loot within the crate, but the Military Tech can be found in the secondary compartment on the righthand side of the crate.

How to Use Military Tech
When you have Military Tech, you need to take it to a Craftmaster to use it. Once you have found a Craftmaster, interact with them and select the "upgrades" menu. On here, you will be able to see which items can be upgraded. Hover over the one you want to upgrade and it will tell you if it needs Military Tech (Nightrunner Tools usually need it). All you have to do is go ahead with the upgrade if you want to.
There are multiple dangers that you need to navigate in Dying Light 2, some of them come from the most unexpected places. Therefore, taking your time to find Military Tech to upgrade your tools will be beneficial to your overall game experience.
