Dragon Quest 12 Will Reinvent The Franchise's Future, Claims Square Enix Chief
Square Enix CEO Yosuke Matsuda hinted at XII's what the game will consist of and its significance in pushing the Dragon Quest's prospects further.
When speaking to Famitsu, he mentioned:
Dragon Quest XII is being developed taking into account the next 10 to 20 years of the Dragon Quest series.
Matsuda talked about how XII is being reinvented with new features, while also building on all of the features that have made previous instalments so adored:
There are parts that remain consistent with the traditional image of Dragon Quest, but new elements are also necessary. After all, as a brand we always need to innovate.
XII is said to feature a darker storyline and will gift players with greater flexibility in commanding their own narrative. Even though no release date has been announced for The Flames of Fate, fans are still anticipating a western release for Dragon Quest X Offline.
