Dragon Ball FighterZ Support Will Continue in 2022

Dragon Ball FighterZ has been out for nearly four years now, but Bandai Namco and Arc System Works aren't done with the game just yet. Having seen waves of post-launch support since release, that'll continue into 2022.

According to the official Dragon Ball site, FighterZ's producer Tomoko Hiroki presented herself to announce their plans for 2022. While she didn't mention about any specifics about the planned updates, Hiroki confirmed:

We're going to keep powering up Dragon Ball FighterZ in 2022, so I sincerely hope that you'll all join us for another year.

So far, we're already aware of one upcoming character, the Lab Coat variation of Android 21. For the unaware, in FighterZ's story, there's two Android 21 characters which are split between her good and evil parts. Potentially, Lab Coat Android 21 could be the good version, one that's unwilling to give into her hunger of devouring strong fighters for sustenance.

2022 could potentially see rollback netcode implemented into the game too. Many fighting game players have asked for this feature to improve online multiplayer's stability. At the least, players have Season 4 content and major updates to look forward to.

For now, we'll have to wait on Bandai Namco and Arc System Works to start officially talking about their plans.
