The International 10 Has A New Location


Valve has announced that The International 10 has a new Location after failing to be recognized as an elite sporting event by the Swedish Sports Federation.

The International 10 will be held in Bucharest, Romania, and will take place in the country's largest arena "Arena Nationala".

"We are grateful for the partnership we have formed with Romania and the city of Bucharest, and very much look forward to gathering with the global Dota 2 community, both in-person and virtually, to celebrate the elite players and amazing fandom at The International. Prepare yourselves. At long last, the battle begins." The blog post says.

The International 10 Has A New Location

The group stages will begin on the 7th of October until the 10th, with Main Stage games starting on the 12th.

Finally, on October 17, the two remaining teams will compete to decide the winner of The International 10.

Teams will be competing not only to take home the Aegis of Champions, but also a share in the $40,018,195 prize pool.

The event was set to be held in Sweden, during August this year, however after the failure to be recognized as an elite sporting event, meaning players. talent and staff would be unable to secure a visa to enter the country.

Valve has responded quickly to the issue and has managed to secure a new location only a month after the original plan of August.
