The first day of The International 10 regional qualifiers China kicked off with four action-packed matches featuring the first eight teams in the tournament where half of them advanced in the upper bracket, whilst the other half should now make their way from the lower bracket.
Elephant vs Team MagMa
The first match of the day saw Elephant vs Team MagMa where it was the former who dominated the whole series, closing it out 2-0 and advancing in the second round of the upper bracket.
Royal Never Give Up vs LBZS
Chinese powerhouse Royal Never Give Up bested LBZS in just two games to secure their bout against Elephant in the upper bracket round 2. LBZS, however, will be going straight to the lower bracket round 2 and will face the winner of Team MagMa vs CDEC Gaming.
Sparking Arrow vs Phoenix Gaming
Phoenix Gaming scored game 1 but did not manage to continue their momentum in game 2 after Sparking Arrow bounced backed securing the win.
The first game 3 took place in this series and it was Sparking Arrow who notched the overall series win, 2-1, advancing them to the upper bracket round 2. Phoenix Gaming will go down the lower bracket round 2 to face the winner of Xtreme Gaming vs the loser of Aster.Aries vs EHOME.
EHOME vs Aster.Aries
The final match of day 1 saw EHOME taking on a 2-0 series win over Aster.Aries, setting them an upper bracket round 2 match against Sparking Arrow. Aster.Aries will go to the lower bracket to face Xtreme Gaming.
DOTA 2 The International 10 Regional Qualifiers China Day 1 Aftermath
In the upper bracket round 2, it would be Elephant vs Royal Never Give Up and Sparking Arrow vs EHOME. The winners of these matches will face each other in the upper bracket final, while the losing teams will have to go down the lower bracket.
In the lower bracket, it will now be Team MagMa vs CDEC Gaming where the winner will face LBZS, and Aster.Aries vs Xtreme Gaming where the winner would go on to face Phoenix Gaming, both in the lower bracket round 2. All matches in the lower bracket are do-or-die.
