DOTA 2 ESL One Summer 2021 Day 4: Results, Scores, And More!

The fourth day of the DOTA 2 ESL One Summer 2021 saw four matches which determined the top three teams of the tournament, as well as three more teams who were eventually eliminated from the competition.

Alliance vs Vikin.gg

The bout between EU teams Alliance and Vikin.gg kicked off day 4 of DOTA 2 ESL One Summer where it was the former who prevailed and won games 1 and 2 in 40 and 30 minutes, respectively. They won the series, eventually eliminating Vikin.gg in the process. Alliance would then move on to face the winner of OG vs Quincy Crew to determine the first lower bracket finalist.

OG vs Quincy Crew

European team OG battled it out with Quincy Crew from NA to fight for their slot in the lower bracket. But in the end, OG outlasted the Americans in games 1 and 2 in 42 and 33 minutes of action, respectively, notching a 2-0 series win, and eliminating Quincy Crew from the tournament. They will face Alliance later that night in the lower bracket round 4.

Virtus.pro vs T1

The upper bracket final on the other hand saw Virtus.pro from Russia vs T1 from SEA. And after three action-packed games, Virtus.pro pummeled T1 to become the DOTA 2 ESL One Summer grand finalist, sending down T1 to the lower bracket final.

T1 scored the win in game 1 after 45 minutes of action. But Virtus.pro bounced back and won game 2 in just 32 minutes, and continued their momentum in game 3, finishing in 52 minutes to earn the overall series victory, 2-1, and their spot in the grand final.

Alliance vs OG

Another battle of EU closed out day 4 as Alliance went on to face OG in the lower bracket round 4. Despite OG's victory earlier that night, they did not manage to do it once again after Alliance won two straight games, closing out the series 2-0 which made OG bid their goodbye from the competition.

DOTA 2 ESL One Summer 2021 Day 4 Aftermath

Virtus.pro will now wait in the grand final to face the winner of the lower bracket final, where it will be T1 vs Alliance who will battle it out to secure at least a runner-up finish.
