DOTA 2 ESL One Fall Bootcamp Edition: Schedule, Teams, Prize Pool And More


With The International(TI) 10 DOTA 2 Championships being postponed until October, ESL has prepared an opportunity for DOTA fans to savor top-tier performance. The ESL One Fall Bootcamp Edition DOTA 2 Championship was revealed during the last week of July with very little to no information being available at the time.

However, the organizers recently revealed some of the details for the upcoming DOTA 2 tournament including the names of five participating teams. Now that all the 12 teams have been confirmed for the tournament, fans can keep an eye out to see which heroes are being tested by their favourite players in public lobbies.

Here's everything that fans need to know about the upcoming tournament.

Schedule

ESL One Fall Bootcamp Edition's group stages are scheduled to begin on August 21st and last until August 24th. Following this, the playoffs will be held from August 26th to August 29th.

However, the event will also feature a series of open and closed qualifiers for teams that did not receive a direct invitation. The Open Qualifiers are scheduled to be held on August 7th and 8th. Following that, the Closed Qualifiers will be held from August 9th to August 11th and will also be available for fans to watch on ESL's official Twitch channels.

Participating Teams

ESL has confirmed that the upcoming tournament will feature a total of 12 teams. Out of these 12, 10 teams will receive a direct invite while the remaining two will have to fight it out through the open and closed qualifiers. Having said that, ESL has already revealed the first five teams that have been invited to the tournament. These teams are:

  • Team Liquid
  • Team Spirit
  • Thunder Predator
  • T1
  • PSG.LGD
  • Beastcoast
  • Virtus.Pro
  • Tundra Esports
  • SG Esports
  • Team Empire (Closed Qualifiers)
  • Creepwave (Closed Qualifiers)

Prize Pool

The ESL One Fall Bootcamp Edition DOTA 2 Championship will be the last notable tournament before TI10. Having said that, the tournament is set to feature a staggering prize pool of $400,000. Here's the Prize Pool breakdown as revealed by the organizers:

  • 1st - $175,000
  • 2nd - $85,000
  • 3rd - $45,000
  • 4th - $25,000
  • 5th and 6th - $15,000
  • 7th and 8th - $10,000
  • 9th to 12th - $5,000
