DOTA 2 AniMajor Playoffs Day 4: Results, Scores, And More!

Three more teams made their exit on the fourth day of the DOTA 2 WePlay AniMajor Playoffs after four action-packed matches which also determined the top three teams remaining in the tournament, making their way closer to the grand final.

Evil Geniuses vs Team Nigma

Evil Geniuses from NA bested EU's Team Nigma in a 2-0 sweep, causing the Europeans to be eliminated from the competition.

Both games lasted quickly. Game 1 was only 30 minutes, while game 2 was 36 minutes long. Evil Geniuses' offense was just too much for Team Nigma, eventually securing the first lower bracket semi-finals spot for the Americans.

Vici Gaming vs Quincy Crew

The second match of the day was more of a different story. Vici Gaming from China faced Quincy Crew from NA, where the former prevailed in the end after three games.

Quincy Crew opened the series with a 24-minute victory in game 1. But Vici Gaming bounced back and showed their gameplay prowess in games 2 and 3, closing out the series 2-1, and knocking off the Americans from the tournament.

Evil Geniuses vs Vici Gaming

The third match saw the two teams who made the lower bracket semi-finals. Both Evil Geniuses and Vici Gaming scored a series win prior to their bout on the same day, but it was the team from America who emerged victorious in the end and will continue to the final day of AniMajor.

Vici Gaming dominated game 1 and scored the first win of the series. But Evil Geniuses managed to tie the series after notching the win in game 2, forcing a do-or-die game 3 where everything was at stake for both teams.

Evil Geniuses' momentum continued to game 3, where Artour "Arteezy" Babaev dominated with his Terrorblade pick. Even if the game lasted for 52 minutes after Vici Gaming also showed their defensive gameplays, the Americans pummeled their way to victory and closed out the series 2-1, eliminating Vici Gaming in the process.

PSG.LGD vs T1

The final match of the day was the upper bracket finals where PSG.LGD from China outlasted SEA'S T1 in three games, making the Chinese team the first quad to qualify for the AniMajor grand final.

PSG.LGD went on to dominate game 1, but T1 won game 2 and forced a game 3 to determine the first grand finalist of the WePlay AniMajor. Despite their momentum going to the third game, PSG.LGD proved they are a legitimate championship contender and nabbed the win to close out the series 2-1, and giving them the first spot to the grand final.

DOTA 2 AniMajor Playoffs Day 4 Aftermath

With PSG.LGD waiting for their opponent, the last day of the tournament will begin with the lower bracket finals between T1 and Evil Geniuses.

The winner of their match will face the team from China to determine the winner of the WePlay AniMajor who will go home with a staggering $200,000 (£141,768), as well as 500 DPC points.
