DNF Duel: Developers "More Resolute" to Improve Game Balance, Netplay Experience Before Release

Following Dungeon Fighter Duel open beta, the developers obtained crucial information needed for the game's network test. Accordingly, Arc System Works and Neople has now confirmed they're more driven to improve their upcoming fighting game before its release this year.

According to DNF Duel director Kodani Ryosuke, their team is now working to fix the issues they've found in the open beta, stating:

Ryosuke pointed out that players commented on the game's "unstable online servers, unintended actions of some characters, and issues with connected devices not functioning properly." In the open beta, many players often experienced disconnections and the servers often went down on top of this.

Some characters had unfair advantages, such as Grappler's infinite and poor online connection for wired setups, despite working well wirelessly. As such, Ryosuke's team are looking to fix these issues before the game's release.

Currently, DNF Duel has a release window for Summer 2022, though we don't have a specific date. We'll have to wait for more information before release, or if they're willing to have another open beta, and we'll keep you keep you informed as we hear more.
