Diablo 3 puts you in the role of the Nephalem, in a journey full of violence, action, and fights against different demonic overlords. While these demons appear in many forms, some of them are especially strong, requiring a major effort for you to destroy them. Today we will talk about Maghda, the first boss fight in Act 2.
Who is Maghda in Diablo 3?
Maghda is the leader of the Cover, a dangerous order of witches that practices torture and demon summoning. Once the partner of Adria, they separated over differences and Maghda held a grudge against her, which only got worse as the Coven's influence expanded to the east. Now an associate of the Lord of Lies Belial, Maghda is a deadly foe that awaits inside her lair in Alcarnus.
Maghda Location In Diablo 3
You can find Maghda waiting for you in the Lair of the Witch at the end of the Act 2 story quest "The City Of Blood", which will take you to Alcarnus, a town in the Borderlands of the Kehjistani Empire. Once you reach this city full of demons, you must clean the place from many enemies and then proceed to the Lair of the Witch, where the boss fight will occur.

Diablo 3 Maghda - Combat Tips & Weakness
Once the fight starts, Maghda will use the following moves in battle:
- Spit: Maghda will spit flies at you, dealing damage.
- Swarm of Flies: Maghda summons swarms of flies that will follow you, causing damage upon contact. After you depleted half of Maghda's HP the damage will increase, marked by a purple glow on the swarms.
- Vessels of Chaos: Maghda summons Corrupted Vessels scattered around the arena.
- Summoning: Every time Maghda loses a quarter of her total HP, she will summon various Cultists and variants of Dark Berserkers. The only particular thing about this skill is that the second wave of Dark Berserkers will be Frozen variants, and the third wave of Dark Berserkers will be Molten.
For this fight, you must keep moving at all times and ignore the summons as much as you can, since wasting your time on them will make the fight last forever. Be quick on your feet, focus on Maghda, and at all times keep your eyes on your surroundings in case some fire or ice AoEs show up on the arena floor. Of course, having a companion with you is always recommended, as well as having both yours and their equipment well updated.
