How To Level Up Fast In Diablo 3 Season 24?

UPDATE - Diablo 3 Season 24 Starts Tomorrow. There's still time to get ready for the new season with our 1-70 leveling guide just below. Good luck!

[Original Story] - We're barrelling towards the Diablo 3 Season 24 release date following Blizzard's official Season 24 Start Time announcement, which is currently set for July 23.

It's now time to start preparing for a new Diablo 3 Tier List and to reconsider which class is currently king of the game. The new Ethereal Items will likely have a big part to play in how those best in class tier lists eventually shake out, so that's something to consider, especially if it helps you

However, for the purpose of this page, we're trying to focus on how to level up fast in Diablo 3 Season 24? This could be your first time playing the game, or maybe you've not played for a while and looking to grab some quick tips to speed through those Torment levels.

The first thing to note is that this guide is intended as an all-purpose overview and isn't specific to any one class. There's obviously going to be very subtle differences that comes with playing with a Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Monk, Necromancer, Witch Doctor or Wizard. No two classes are the same and you might find one will level up slightly faster in a given season.

Regardless, read on, we'll give you all the info you need to in this overview.

What Is The Fastest Way To Level Up In Diablo 3?

The fastest way to level up in Diablo 3 is unquestionably by playing with a friend, or it not a friend, someone else who already has a level 70 character.

That might sound daft (or obvious, maybe?) but having a friend who is level 70 will allow your complete fresh character to absolutely rinse XP by running the highest Torment level in the game.

If you know someone who can solo Torment 6 whilst you hang back and gobble up the XP, you'll waltz your way to level 70 in no time at all. Better still if they can run a Nephalem Rift you'll clean up.

According to the folk at blizzardwatch the experience gained from Torment 6 is increased by 1600%. Should your level 70 friend then manage to run through four or five Nephalem Rifts you'll be level 70 in no time flat.

This is no doubt the fastest way to get to level 70 in Diablo 3 and even if you don't know anyone who plays Diablo 3, there are so many communities across the world, with players who would gladly help out new players. You just have to ask.

For argument's sake, let's say you don't have a friend who plays the game with a level 70 character and let's presume you don't want to introduce yourself to a community for help.

How can you level up fast on your own? That's what we'll look at next.

How To Level Up Fast Playing SOLO In Diablo 3?

Now, this is an altogether more tricky proposition and understandably, it takes a bit longer; if you're asking why, it's obvious. You're playing solo and can't lean on your fellow players to help carry you to level 70 whilst you shuffle in the background doing nothing.

What you can do is make sure that your character is geared up for the task.

If this isn't your first character or class, one option is to run Greater Nephalem Rifts until you earn a Gem of Ease (a legendary gem). If you socket this with a level-70 weapon you can earn yourself a massive XP boost. But it also lowers the level requirement of the weapon to a lowly 1, so you can technically give that weapon to a brand new character to utilise it from Act 1.

The Gem of Ease coupled with a level 70 weapon should, in theory, help give your character a bit of an edge to help level you level up the first 30 or 40 or so levels in quick time.

So what else can you do as a SOLO player?

Well, you should be on the look out for any gear which grants you extra XP for monster kills as that'll be handy when you're slaying.

But one of the best things you can do is go out of your way to get the Leoric's Crown Legendary Helm, which is available fairly early on in the game.

You just need to kill the Skeleton King, Leoric in Act 1 and assuming you're level 5 it's a guaranteed drop.

One of the best perks of obtaining this helm from the mad king of Tristram is that it will Increase the effect of any gem socketed into it by 75 - 100%. So if you have any gems which offer an XP bonus, you'll be absolutely flying.

How Long Does It Take To Max Level In Diablo 3?

The maximum level in Diablo 3 was 60 when the game originally launched but following the release of the Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls expansion in 2013, that cap was increased to level 70.

So now to the question, 'How long does it take to reach max level in Diablo 3?'.

Experience Diablo 3 players - who know all the tricks in the book - can probably hit the level 70 cap in about an hour. Most standard players can probably do it fairly quickly too, but likely need a couple of hours if they want to go from 1-70.

For argument sake, let's assume this is your first time playing Diablo 3 and you're a complete beginner. You'll need to first play through the games story mode and that could take you anywhere from 3-5 hours.

If you're wondering why you wouldn't jump into any other modes then the answer is simple. You should complete the story mode so you can unlock higher difficulty levels, as you won't be able to select those higher difficulties without first progressing a character through the campaign.

Once you've done that, you can perhaps jump into the games Adventure Mode to earn as much XP as fast as possible.

Even then, you'll always level up a character faster in a group, so consider playing with friends or join a Diablo 3 community so you can run rifts with other players for maximum XP with even the most basic of characters.
