How to Beat Mephisto in Diablo 2 Resurrected

Diablo 2 Resurrected Mephisto is the third major boss fight you'll face and the final scene in act three.

It's actually a bit of a reprieve following the Andariel and Duriel boss fights. Mephisto is still a big, deadly demon, but he's got fewer tricks up his bony sleeves than those who came before. Melee classes in particular finally get a chance to prove their worth in a boss fight.

Diablo 2 Resurrected Mephisto — Where to Find Mephisto

Mephisto lives in the third area of the Durance of Hell. You'll know the fight draws near after you destroy the Compelling Orb, so make sure to activate any nearby waypoints and get your party healed and ready for action.

Mephisto is a magician, so unlike the previous two bosses, he relies almost entirely on ranged attacks. Fortunately, your battleground for this fight is much more expansive and includes four rooms.

Mephisto's attacks rely on poison, lightning, and cold, which is your sign not to use any of those elements against him.

While the Lord of Hatred doesn't have any specific weaknesses, he's not particularly resistant to physical attacks. The Amazon and Barbarian will have the easiest time in this fight.

When it's safe, close in for some powerful attacks, then retreat again to avoid Mephisto's spells. Repeat until you've conquered the demon and collect your rewards.
