Diablo's attacks are relentless, and he uses Red Lightning Hose fairly often. It's a potentially fatal move that you absolutely don't want to get hit with, so staying on the move is your best chance for remaining alive.
We recommend heading into battle with cold- and fire-resistant items — use the Horadric Cube if you don't have any already — to stave off the worst effects from most of Diablo's attacks.
