How to Beat Diablo in Diablo 2 Resurrected

The Diablo 2 Resurrected Diablo fight might not be the final boss battle anymore, but it's no less challenging than it ever was. You're tasked with bringing down the Lord of Terror himself, but he sends multiple enemy waves at you before you can even reach that point. It's a difficult battle, but with the right planning, you can trounce Diablo and add him to the list of vanquished demons along with Andariel, Duriel, and Mephisto.

Diablo lives in hell, unsurprisingly. More specifically, his domain is past the Sanctuary of Flames and Pandemonium Fortress, but once you arrive, you'll notice a distinct lack of Diablo in the room. Your goal is opening the five seals in the chamber and defeating Infector of Souls, the Lord De Suis, and the Grand Vizier of Chaos.

Diablo sends waves of minions after you in the process, including doom knights and venom lords, though your goal is opening, so be prepared for a difficult set of fights.

Diablo 2 Resurrected Diablo Boss Guide — Diablo Tips

Diablo uses powerful ranged attacks similar to Mephisto, along with devastating physical attacks. Free movement is crucial, so stock up on stamina-restoring potions before the fight. Diablo's attacks are relentless, and he uses Red Lightning Hose fairly often. It's a potentially fatal move that you absolutely don't want to get hit with, so staying on the move is your best chance for remaining alive.

We recommend heading into battle with cold- and fire-resistant items — use the Horadric Cube if you don't have any already — to stave off the worst effects from most of Diablo's attacks. As you'd expect from the former final boss, the Lord of Terror, Diablo has no glaring weaknesses. Any class has an equal chance of victory, and the main objective is just staying alive.
