Diablo 2: Resurrected is something a lot of us have been waiting for, giving us a beautiful remaster of a game that has been heralded by many, which should also get newer players to give this title a shot for the first time.
While the more cynical of us see Diablo 2: Resurrected as a placeholder from Activision Blizzard so that they can focus on polishing games like Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4, this is still a game many are excited to play online and offline.
Can Diablo 2 Resurrected Be Played Offline?
Naturally, a lot of fans are wondering if Diablo 2: Resurrected can be played offline due to the disastrous first year of Diablo 3, which forced players to be online all the time until complaints and patches fixed that up.
Thankfully, it seems that Activision Blizzard has learned their lesson from the Diablo 3 incident since Diablo 2: Resurrected will allow for offline play when it gets released, which should be a relief for many of us who prefer to play single-player games.
Granted, this is a feature that should have been expected since the original Diablo 2 could be played offline but you never really know with Activision Blizzard these days, given how spotty their track record has been as of late.
Still, from everything we’ve seen about Diablo 2: Resurrected, it seems like they really hit the ball out of the park with this remaster, so here’s hoping it launches with as few problems as possible.
Diablo 2: Resurrected is coming to the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC on September 23.
