League of Legends' animated shorts director, Derick Tsai, has joined Bungie as their Head of Development for Destiny Universe Transmedia.
Spotted by Destiny Bulletin, they posted a screenshot of Tsai's updated LinkedIn profile, which confirmed this move. This new role includes “leading projects and telling stories that extend the Destiny IP into new mediums including Film, TV, Animation, Books, Comics, and Audio formats.”

Bungie Hires League of Legends Animated Shorts Director For Destiny Transmedia Project
Tsai's career change follows Sony's acquisition of Bungie for $3.6 billion. PlayStation Studios head, Hermen Hulst, provided this statement at the time:
"I’m absolutely thrilled to welcome Bungie to the PlayStation family! Bungie create community-driven games with outstanding technology that are enormous fun to play, and I know that everyone at PlayStation Studios will be excited about what we can share and learn together."
