Destiny 2's Season of the Splicer Epilogue May Have Already Been Revealed

Update: Check out our impressions of the epilogue.

Destiny 2 is itching closer to what looks like a double-header reveal for Season 15 and The Witch Queen on August 24th, but it appears that the epilogue to Season of Splicer has been hiding in plain sight.

First spotted as the endcap to the seasonal roadmap, we've never had a season-ending event described as an "epilogue" before - but we may know what it is now.

As you can imagine, there's a pretty HEAVY spoiler warning here.

Still here? OK.

We've been running Override missions for some time, but it appears now that the epilogue will see us depositing data motes yet again.

As spotted by Paul Tassi at Forbes, though, it appears the game's companion app may have inadvertently revealed that the final Override location is in the Eliksni quarter of the Last City.

A while back, a leak suggested that Lakshmi-2 would, whether she meant to or not, trigger a Vex invasion within the city itself. In the weeks that followed we defeated Quria, though, but it appears our work is not done.

As you can imagine, there's another story chunk that's been datamined since, with a quest called "As Prophesised", which sounds like it'll tie into the lore dump that accidentally occurred where Bungie made some new lore available in game.

In any case, it sounds like we're going to be fighting it out in the Eliksni Quarter in the run-up to Season 15.

You know what would be wild? If we released SIVA to hold back the Vex and ended up with a SIVA season. Just a thought.
