Destiny 2 Season 15 Name And Main Character Leaks Ahead of Bungie Reveal Showcase

We're fast approaching the start of the Destiny 2 Showcase, which is set to kick off next week on August 24. The event in question has been hyped up significantly by Bungie, and it's clear that there's plenty more to be revealed on top of Destiny 2 Season 15.

In fact, we're largely expecting that we'll see some big details revealed for the Destiny 2 Witch Queen expansion as well; with Savathun a constant ever-present in the story of the game's outgoing 'Season of the Splicer'.

But with 4 days to go we're still none the wiser as to the name of the next season, or equally, the central character who will be pushing the main narrative forward. Thankfully though, some leaked advertising images today appear to have revealed both key details.

Spoilers ahead, turn back if you want to go into the new season clueless!

Destiny 2 Season 15 Name And Main Character Leaks

The leaked adverts suggest that Destiny 2 Season 15 will be called – Season of the Lost. A name that was previous mentioned on a notepad leak some months back; which incidentally got a lot of other key details right.

These leaked adverts, which you can also see further down, heavily suggest that Queen Mara Sov will be our new leading character, in the same way that Mithrax has been key to Season of the Splicer; or other characters have been brought to the fore in past seasons to help nudge the narrative on week to week.

The leak would also suggest that The Dreaming City will play a big part in whatever happens during Season of the Lost; which would make a lot of sense. The last time we officially heard from Mara Sov was last November, back during 'Season of the Hunt' shortly after Beyond Light launched, with a broadcast message which read:

To all corners of the system… I've emptied the armories on the fringe. Sent Corsair warship fleets. Deployed Harbingers. And yet… the Black Fleet persists. I know what it's taken from you. Petra… I've been away too long, and for that, I apologize. Your compassion and leadership have been a boon to me — and our people. This all started with the Dreaming City. I shall return to finish it. [sighs] Savathûn will be waiting.

Following the disappearance of Mars, Mercury, Titan, and Io, Mara Sov broadcast a message throughout the system. In the message, she stated that she had deployed all weapons at her disposal against the Black Fleet to no effect. She then promised to return to the Dreaming City, though she was aware that Savathûn would be waiting for her.

We're eager to see how this plays out, but we'll need to wait for the official showcase coming this Tuesday, August 24 to discover more.
