Destiny 2's Season of the Lost is now live bringing even more content to Bungie's sci-fi universe. But the launch of this new 15th Season was also a little different because of the heaps of info we got when it comes to what is coming next.
That's because we now know that Savathun is coming with the arrival of the Witch Queen expansionin 2022. After months of numerous story threads slowlying emerging and coming to a head, events in the Destiny universe are starting to blow up.
The question is, will Bungie once again to hold another live event in the game? The last time we saw this was when Guardians collectively gathered to watch The Almighty be blown apart by Rasputin. It has a few flaws, but for the most part, we think Guardians enjoyed the show.
More recently, we also had to repell a Vex invasion of the Tower, as part of the Season of the Splicer epilogue, but what could be next?
When is The Next Destiny 2 Live Event?
Assuming Bungie is planning another colossal live event, we suspect it will come towards the end of Season of the Lost.
Perhaps as some sort of lead-in for an epilogue that sets up the events of The Witch Queen, and whatever story beats take place in Destiny 2 Season 16.
If that is indeed what Bungie are planning then we'll, unfortunately, have to wait a good few months. The Witch Queen expansion has a confirmed launch date of February 22, 2022.
Although, if Bungie has got another live event waiting in the wings, it could be absolutely magnificent. For now, we'll keep an eye on the 2022 roadmap as we get more info.
