If you’ve played Season of the Splicer, you’ll know there’s a new Destiny 2 Ikora voice actor taking over from former Ikora actor Gina Torres.
The new Ikora voice actor is Mara Junot.
You might not know her by name, but chances are, you’ve heard Junot before.
Her portfolio includes more than 10 years of voice work, including Alleria in World of Warcraft Shadowlands, Zeyna in CoD Black Ops Cold War, Nyoka in The Outer Worlds, and Dr Sloane in Fortnite Chapter 2.
That’s just a handful of Junot’s many roles in the last few years.
Mara Junot Announces Her Role as Ikora Rey in Destiny
Junot made the unofficial announcement on Twitter after sharing a post from Bungie about Destiny 2.
Bungie has yet to make an official announcement about the new Ikora voice actor.
However, these scenarios are always under strict non-disclosure agreements, so it’s doubtful Junot broke any kind of embargo.
She also confirmed her new role to Game Informer.
There’s no word why Torres was recast or why she left, and given the number of confidentiality agreements wrapped up in development, we’ll probably never know for sure.
