Destiny 2's Season of the Splicer kicks off today, and it's bringing plenty of changes.
One of the biggest, at least for longtime players, is the addition of transmog - known in the game as 'Armor Synthesis'.
Here's what it is, and how to change your armour's look.
Destiny 2 Armor Synthesis Guide
First things first - you'll need to earn the right to use transmog, but don't worry, it's a nice easy quest.
When you drop into the game for the first time in Season of the Splicer, speak to Banshee-44 in the Tower. He'll point you in the direction of Ada-1, who is back for the first time in a while.
Speak to her, and she'll send your Guardian to Europa, into the Braytech facility. Here, you'll just need to scan a couple of items and then you'll be able to head back.
Your reward? 15 pieces of Synthweave, five per class, and a quick tutorial to earn you one more for your Hunter, Titan, or Warlock.
Destiny 2: How to Earn Synthweave
Aside from those freebies you earned from Ada-1, you can earn up to ten Synthweave drops per character, and you'll need to complete bounties to earn them.
You'll find bounties from Ada-1 for Strikes, Crucible, Destination, Gambit and Raid/Dungeons, meaning you can choose how you go about farming Synthweave.
It's sadly not as simple as just grabbing the bounties, completing them, and then turning them in, either.
As Bungie themselves explained:
- Defeat enemies to earn Synthstrand.
- Spend Synthstrand on bounties to earn Synthcord.
- Convert Synthcord at the Loom in the Tower into Synthweave.
We're hoping Bungie will make the process a little more streamlined. We even wrote a lengthy rant about it.
